In this series of work I began to experiment with acrylic skins, moulding them into flowers, with the addition of collage and acrylic paints. Flowers in the garden are always sentimental and bring beautiful memories of both my mother’s and sister’s love of gardening, and their beautiful gardens. I guess I felt I was the green thumb in the studio. I love looking at old botany and scientific charts with notations, hence why I called this series “The Botanist’s Table”.
