Ieva Nora Knochs

I work in mixed media, using a variety of papers, my own photographs, paints, mediums, acrylic skins, and any other collage material that I might find and experiment with. Gelli printing also comes into play as collage fodder.

I’m always on the experimenting path with colour, shape, line, pattern and texture to allow my intuition to let the process of play begin - never knowing what the end result will be.

I am in love with colour. I often say, “I could eat colour.” Colour is infinity.

Colour is emotion. 

My life experiences and sensations all contribute to my work. From the love of my Latvian culture and childhood memories, to nature, travel, landscapes, music, reading, history, literature and the beautiful objects and sights that we see around us.
