I am fascinated by colour. The infinity of colour. Mixing colour using only two to three main colours and including a dark shade and white leads to so many variants – it’s almost endless.

A love of fabrics from other cultures to my Latvian culture of woven fabrics has always been present.  I love pattern.

Surfaces that have been worn down, paint re-applied and worn down again always excites me. It has history. The tiny pop of colour shining through another colour and the texture.  They are beautiful to look at.  Childhood wooden toys, furniture, wall surfaces - old and worn to graffiti and ripped and torn posters, doors and so forth are what I observe.
